As intern for the textile print design at Beyond the Valley, and becoming a textile designer myself, I am always drawn towards collections with an emphasis on fabrics and in this respect, Ada Zandition delivered. At Beyond the Valley we already sell 3 of her earlier designs!
She contrasts futuristic and colourful prints with bold 3D shapes and structures, all stemming from her inspiration, Pyramids and Coral Reefs. The collection demonstrates a lovely balance of super light & airy fabrics, solid leather and heavy metallic silks.

The inspiration for the Pyramora collection comes from a fusion aesthetics of The Great Pyramid and the beautiful, delicate structure of coral reefs. Pyramids are often portrayed as sombre dark burial chambers, but were, in fact, regarded as vehicle of resurrection is connected to modern day Egypt,
where locals defy global corporations by protecting the environment and flourishing corals,
from over exposure to the tourist industry.

Ada Zandtion's collection is a mathematical exploration of spiritual and environmental ideas, allowing the pyramid structures of the Egyptian desert to tessellate and create natural patterns similar to the formation of coral. Reefs of pyramids adorn the collection in delicate metallic hues.
I just love the concept, the colours, and combination of the geometric 3D shapes and floating textile prints!
